By Perrin Marx Boone:

“Where do you start on your Wedding Day?  I can only describe it as relaxing, emotional, nerve-wrecking, AMAZING, beautiful, and entertaining…nothing less. The love of my life always tells me “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try,try again” – Williams E. Hickson.  This is his quote about trying to date me  and I have to say it actually pertains to planning the most amazing day of my life.

Most of it was planned and put together by yours truly, from the invitations and programs sitting outside to the wedding/reception décor all around us that day.  We even had our rings made just for us by a friend…Martin and Silver Arts Jewelry.  Of course I had help from my lovely wedding party and family but there was a lot of trying and trying again to put this whole thing together.  It was a success….to say the least!

I am so glad that I went with the theme of Peacock Feathers and Calla Lilies, I had so many people say to me “Oh, Perrin…this is so you” which made me feel wonderful.

I was emotional from the beginning.  It started out with seeing all of my beautiful friends in the dressing room, all there to support me on my BIG DAY.  The emotions then moved on to seeing my little brothers and sister.  I do have to comment that I have some good looking siblings.

Then last, I think the most emotional part of the day, was seeing Brandon before the wedding. I am so happy we did it the non-traditional way, because it was like a waterfall streaming from my eyes before instead of during the ceremony.  During the ceremony there were tears, smiles, giggles, and even full blown laughs as the officiant and our pre-marriage counselor married us.  I could not have felt more loved than when my little brother and sister sang  “Born Again” and “In Christ Alone” for us.

The Reception was beautiful! Many of my friends and I had spent Friday before the rehearsal dinner putting everything together and up in the reception room.  Our first dance was EVERYTHING I could have imagined and I loved how much fun people were having.  The Photobooth was a hit and the food and cake were delicious.  Everyone was breakin’-it-down on the dance floor and we even got some serious swing and country dancing going.  Two good friends (both seriously dating someone) caught the bouquet and garter…do I have to say anymore.  I changed dresses (cause every girls gotta have a wardrobe change on her day) and we ended the night with everyone going outside to get ready for our departure while we had a precious last dance by ourselves in the reception hall.  I must say this might have been my favorite part of the night.  It was just us and the photographer (Thanks Clint!)  and it was so romantic.”

Such a fun post written by our wonderful bride Perrin Marx Boone!

“I had so much fun taking my Bridal Portraits with Clint.  We started out at the AT&T Performing Arts Center downtown, which I can say is one of the most modern romantic places ever given that it was where my hubby asked me to marry him.  I was fortunate to have my mother and brother with me at the shoot because wedding dresses, I soon found out, are hard to walk in.  I loved all of the different architectural backgrounds we had at the center; it was what I had pictured from the beginning. I was beyond ecstatic to move to the Nasher Sculpture garden since it was going to be closed and the only ones there would be us.  We had so much freedom outside and the weather could not have been better!”
